You are invited to join us at our bi-monthly Meeting!
Combatting and living with climate change is the theme of the 2019 general
meetings of Sierra Sage, the South Orange County Group of the Sierra Club.
On March 26 the specific topic will be "Climate Change & my Mobility", where
our speakers and presenters will offer practical methods to seriously reduce
our individual carbon footprints caused by transportation. You'll learn to
calculate your carbon emissions and mitigate CO2 released by air travel.
You'll acquire skills in reducing the amount of global warming gasses
emitted by your current and future cars. Our speakers will also address what
lies ahead in public transit as it applies to an affluent suburban area such
as ours, i.e. autonomous vehicles, car and ride sharing. Of course,
walking, hiking, and biking won't be forgotten as they may be part of your
program of becoming carbon neutral. Although climate change poses an
existential threat to humanity you'll leave the meeting eager and ready to
join in the fight.
