At least the authors put us in some good company, the people who teach

Teach more patriotism
We would like to thank state school board
members Kathy Wilmot, Kathryn Piller, Ann Mactier
and Rachel Bone for voting to put patriotism
back in the classroom (Nov. 3 World-Herald story).
For too long we have taught multiculturalism
and environmentalism and have ignored our own
country's greatness. Let's again teach how
all the ethnic groups came together to make
America what it is today. Multiculturalism
breaks people into little groups and teaches us about
their countries instead of ours.
Gov. Johanns should cut programs that attack
patriotism. Multiculturalism and
environmentalism are nothing more than
indoctrination against patriotism. Get back to
academics and what America stands for.
