The Odor Control Bill, HF 2688, passed the Senate 29 to 17 with 4
absent a short while ago. It had at least two amendments adopted, the
Cost Share Amendment by Sen. Kibbie and the Sen. Quiirmbach amendment
opening up the secrecy a bit....albeit none of us in the lobby have
actually gotten to read it yet. It now goes back to the House as
amended.

Our health effects amendment, offered by Sen. Bolkcom, was defeated on
a voice vote, probably about the same proportions. If only we could
get hundreds or thousands of contacts to legislators.......c’est la vie.

One of the great ironies of my life......I grew up in a very small
farming community, worked hard not to have to be closely associated
with farming, so now I spend half my professional life talking about
hogsh...

I am going home to bed.

Lyle
