Attend Iowa's Volunteer Conference
Nov 22-23, Des Moines
The 2nd Annual Volunteers in Natural Resource Conference takes place at the
Airport Holiday Inn. Sponsored by DNR's IOWATER and Keepers of the Land,
the conference brings together conservation volunteers from across the
state. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. on Friday. The evening keynote address is
by Chad Pegracke, nationally recognized organizer of the Mississippi River
Beautification and Restoration Project. Saturday features several
concurrent sessions in the morning, followed by a luncheon and volunteer
awards. The conference's closing workshop on advocacy features an all-star
line-up, including Council Executive Director Elizabeth Horton Plasket, and
I-CALL Coordinator Rich Leopold. Registration before Nov 8 is $25, or $35
