It is ironic that Amtrak reports record income and passenger traffic at a
time when  news reports indicate that Iowa could loose its Amtrak service.
Two years ago we used Amtrak to go to Glacier National Park. All the
passengers I talked with had their reasons for taking the train and none
mentioned nostalgic motives. If and when the passenger trains quit running it
will be a sad day for America. Jerry Neff
