The Clean Water Networks tmdl listserve is sending out many articles
from newspaper regarding Clintons action and the responce from Congress.
The Des Moines Register had an article today. Give me your email address
and I will forward them to you if you are interested.

I was at a DNR event yesterday 6/11 and Mike Valdi ( in charge of  water
and air; he replaced Al Stokes) told me Carol Browner had a conference
call with the states to let them know this was going to happen.

This is a pretty bold step on Clintons part in responce a pretty drastic
step on the part of congress to stop funding of  the new rules.
