Someone who went to the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner last weekend said that when Chet Culver spoke he acknowledged all of the statewide Democratic candidates, but he did not mention Francis. Maybe an oversight?

I believe neither party will give Francis much support if he gets
n.

Francis Thicke as Iowa Sec of Ag would be a game-changer. Frances would have
nfluence over the subsidies and how they are spent. And he would have a bully
ulpit and even a national voice. But, (since I'm already being cynical this
orning...) I believe neither party will give Francis much support if he gets
n.
Campaign finance reform should be a number 1 priority? Single out the worst of
he bought-and-paid-for Dems and put them in the spotlight? Then the next Dem?

We need to figure out how to shake the whole party. As long as the Democrats
elieve we have nowhere else to go, they can continue ignoring us at their
leasure.

And whenever the Dems lose, they believe the solution is to move further to
he right. Heads they win, tails we lose.
