FYI, FARM BUREAU IS ALREADY MOBILIZING ITS ACTIVISTS TO OPPOSE ANY CHANGES TO
HF 519 (1995). THEIR BASIC ARGUMENT IS "CHANGES TO HF 519 WON'T BE BASED ON
SOUND SCIENCE." THIS IS UNTRUE: CHANGES IN REGULATIONS BEING PROPOSED BY THE
WORKING GROUP ARE BASED IN SOLID, CURRENT SCIENTIFIC DATA. FARM BUREAU
PROTESTERS ARE ALSO CLAIMING THAT "ANY MORE REGULATION OF THE LIVESTOCK
INDUSTRY WILL DRIVE VIRTUALLY ALL THE REMAINING SMALL PRODUCERS OUT OF
BUSINESS." WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE WORKING GROUP'S PROPOSAL: GOOD SCIENCE AND
GOOD PRACTICE PROTECT INDEPENDENT, CONSCIENTIOUS PRODUCERS--THE "GOOD
NEIGHBORS" WHO ARE BEING DRIVEN OUT OF BUSINESS BY THE "CORPORADOES" WHO THRIVE
UNDER HF 519.
