CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS APPROVED BY COMMISSION
September 12, 2002

MAQUOKETA - The Natural Resource Commission of the DNR approved eight
construction projects during its meeting Thursday.

· A $189,946 contract with Norris Asphalt Paving Co., Ottumwa, to resurface
the roads at Lake Wapello State Park.
· A $446,133 contract with Des Moines Asphalt and Paving Co., Des Moines, to
resurface various roads at Big Creek State Park.
· A $72,781 contract with Gus Construction Co., Inc., Casey, to refurbish
the outlet structure at Black Hawk Lake.
· A $66,786 contract with Henningsen Construction, Inc., Council Bluffs, for
paving and extension of an equestrian campground loop at Lake of Three
Fires.
· A $197,957 contract with Tschiggfrie Excavating Co., Dubuque, to build a
concrete roadway and parking area at Sweet Marsh Wildlife Management Area.
· A $181,859 contract with Nikkel and Associates, Inc., Ames, to upgrade the
electrical systems, resurface existing camp pads and surface new camp pads
at the campground in Clear Lake State Park.
· A $47,184 contract with General Asphalt Construction Co., Davenport, to
resurface various roads and parking areas at the Fairport Fish Hatchery.
· An $87,702 contract with Fort Dodge Asphalt Co., Fort Dodge, to complete a
road and pave some camp pads in the non-equestrian campground at Brushy
Creek State Recreation Area.
