Sierrans, Friends - Caucus-goers:

This is not an email about a candidate! It is about resolutions, attached,
for your hopeful support at your party precinct caucus.

Sierra Club and the Steelworkers Union began work in late Summer to develop
a Blue/Green Alliance in Iowa made up of as many groups as possible from
labor, environmental, faith-based and other interests, for the purpose of
bringing progressive resolutions, broadly supported and demonstrating that
with strong leadership we can have both a clean environment and good jobs in
America.

No matter what political party caucus you will participate in, no matter
which candidate you will support, the attached issues are offered for your
support. Indeed we ask that you print them off - 4 pages - take them to your
caucus, and offer one or all of them for consideration by your friends and
neighbors. You very likely will find others there who also have received
them from one of our Blue/Green Alliance groups. [We had them as a nicely
laid out brochure in pdf format...but the listserv will not serve it out to
you...too big.]

Please take a few moments to open the document and read through them. Yes,
they appear long, because in order to give you discussion points we included
several whereas clauses. You may offer and have adopted the entire
resolution, or present the resolution adopting only the therefore clauses.
Feel free to adapt them to your local situation.

Our objective, of course, is to have the resolutions adopted in as many
precincts as possible in both political parties...indeed, the total
distribution of the resolutions via email and traditional mail will be to
nearly 20,000 people - all potential caucus-goers. If you are unable to go,
feel free to pass it on to someone you know who will go and might be willing
to offer them.

No matter which party you are, no matter which candidate you support, we
commend these resolutions to you and your neighbors. Together we can create
good jobs and a clean environment for our families, for our children and for
all Americans. Your leadership will help to develop your party platform, and
do just that!

And, Thank you!

Lyle Krewson
