Fareway is staffing petition tables at its stores. "Support food
safety...Don't turn this store into a garbage dump...Call for curbside
recycling..." is the message.
You may recall that through the spring and summer, Casey's and others were
offering little "Beautify Iowa" pins for sale ($4) at their checkout
counters. Care to guess where that money went?

The press conference by the grocers will be today Friday at 11 AM
at the West Des Moines Marriott located off of I 80 at 74th st exit.
It would be nice if some people could be there to talk with the press so
that
they actually get both sides of the story. Wanted to keep you up to date.
