I called both Rep Joel Fry and Sen Joni Ernst and emailed both. This was
the reply from Joel Fry! Farm Bureau money goes a long way. Phyllis
Phyllis:
Thank you for your contact and perspective on this issue. I have a bit
different understanding of this bill. I appreciate your perspective but
believe this bill protects all parties on this issue. I am not in
support of animal cruelty and I believe whistle blowers should do it
legally.
Thanks again for your contact!!
Blessings,
Joel

Dear Representative Fry,
Please oppose H.F. 589/S.F. 431 that criminalizes whistle blowers who
expose horrific animal abuse, while protecting those that abuse animals.
Support of this bill means you support animal abuse and I hope that is
not the case. Sincerely, Phyllis Mains 641-445-6326
