ISU COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE SEEKS COMMENTS
NOV. 20
ON FUTURE RESEARCH PRIORITIES

Iowa State University is seeking comments on future directions of its
agricultural research program and related extension activities at an ICN
meeting Thursday, Nov. 20.

The ICN meeting will begin at 7 p.m., hosted by Catherine Woteki, dean of
ISU's College of Agriculture.

"The discussion will focus on how the College of Agriculture can better
serve the state of Iowa through its research and related extension
programs," said Woteki. "We want to hear from Iowans about their priorities
for future research, and whether resources are adequately aligned to respond
to the needs of Iowans."

Feedback from the meeting will help determine future directions for the work
of the Iowa Agriculture and Home Economics Experiment Station, a
115-year-old program that conducts research primarily in agriculture but
also in family and consumer sciences, veterinary medicine and engineering.
Dean Woteki is director of the Experiment Station.

Woteki will present information on Experiment Station programs and
resources, and examples of how research and extension has impacted Iowans.
