A public hearing will be held on HSB 695 addressing air quality
standards in Iowa. It will be held at 9 a.m. Monday morning, the 8th
of March in the House Chambers. This bill will not allow standards to
exceed those developed by the U.S. EPA from any sources. It also sets
standards for CAFO's hydrogen sulfide, ammonia or odor that will never
allow for any enforcement. Please read the bill and plan to attend or
send your comments to any Democratic member of the Environment
committee. If you would like to submit comments regarding this bill that
affects clean air regulations in Iowa you can send them to Representative
