Dear Iowa Sierrans,

I am looking for information about school districts in
Iowa that are using nearby nature preserves as
educational resources, or school districts that are
trying to reconstruct natural areas, like prairies,
near schools. For instance, I have heard about efforts
to recreate a prairie habitat in Waukee.

If you know of any examples of this, even if you don't
know a lot of details, could you please e-mail me
([log in to unmask]) with the name of the school
district and/or the kind of natural area they are
using?

Thanks so much,

Laurie Belin
