"Don't just Do something, Sit there!"
Alright we're too busy and this damn new technology is not "labor-saving" but "pressure-packed." Here's a chance, however, to sit back, reflect on the needs of the chapter, and develop skills to help us balance our budget and our hopes for the environment in this state.
The Iowa Chapter invites you to take part in a Fundraising Training/consultation with some national Sierra Club leaders on March 22 and/or part of the 23. As the premier environmental organization, the national Sierra Club has experience raising monies for their conservation campaigns. As a chapter we need to increase our skill at raising money to support our Iowa campaigns.
The training will take place at the Oak Woods Learning Center near Saylorville Lake Saturday from 9 until 5:00 and Sunday from 9 until noon. Please contact Erin at 515-277-8868 for directions and a menu.
We promise there will be no free trips to Las Vegas raffled off and any interest charged will be more than 0% APR.
Five years from now you will have the reward of knowing that you were needed to support this basic environmental activity.
We appreciate your involvement.
Jim Redmond, Jane Clark, Charles Winterwood
