We are hearing from the the Midwest staff (Carl Zichella) that the proposed
legislation to expand the lock and dams has not been introduced. Boswell and
Nussle were reported to be co-sponsors and they are not. It seems the
Missouri sponsors can not find anyone else to cosponsor it. Iowa is getting
thanks from the staff.  Thanks to those who responded to the alerts ( I have
not).

If you would like to see the memos that the staff are writing regarding this
legislation, let me know. Please include your name and title, even if I know
you. This is a controversial issue and extra care will be taken.
