This was a letter published Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Dubuque
Telegraph-Herald. I was so intent on trying to keep it to 300 words that I
forgot to say I was supporting Al Gore. It sounds as if it could be from a
Nader supporter. Maybe, if in fact, there are any undecided voters out
there who somehow could be wavering towards Bush, such as this might, at
least, help them swing back to the left.
If Bush gets elected, my plan is to leave the country on Jan. 17!!!
............ (Of course, if Gore or Nader get elected, I will also leave
the country on Jan. 17. Like some movie actor and wife, I just liked the
dramatic sound of that!!)

> Here are a few things corporations enjoy or want:
> 1. Unrestricted, feedlot and livestock confinement operations at
the
> expense of water and odor quality.
> 2. Preventing the National Park Service from limiting snowmobile
> usage. (Such personalized motors create more profits than healthful,
> natural exercise and more than the larger, quieter, and less polluting
> snowcoaches offering winter access to remote areas.)
> 3. Lock-up of and/or opposition to break-throughs in solar power
> research and development as long as oil and coal can still be dug up from
> wherever and remain "convenient and profitable" at environmental expense.

> (Low mileage SUV's, which the "trusted" public is hounded by advertising

cost.)

> 6. "Free" trade with other nation's where international,
