I introduced several resolutions (there were only two other people who
introduced resolutions). Many people had gone home (only 50 or so left of
158) and it was approaching 9 p.m. The precinct chair was impatient and
asked me to summarize and "speed it up". All of the resolutions I presented
were adopted without discussion, except for the one opposing the $50 million
for the rain forest project, which passed handily although it had three
votes no on the resolution.
I was appointed alternate to the county platform committee after I noted
that I have a conflict this Saturday when it meets. I hope Debbie will have
time to attend those meetings because we need an advocate for our
resolutions on the committee.
