Dear Friends,

We urgently need your help. The latest reports indicate that
President Clinton's proposal to protect roadless areas in national
forests is likely to include all forests EXCEPT Alaska's Tongass
National Forest.

The Tongass contains much of the world's remaining temperate,
old-growth rainforest. If logging roads are cut into its heart, there
won't be much left in a few decades.

Please take 30 seconds today to send a FREE fax urging the
protection of all roadless areas on out National Forests, including
the Tongass. Simply visit http://www.akrain.org where you can quickly
send a personalized fax to protect Alaska's wildlands.
