Iowa Sierrans:

RENEWABLE ENERGY GOAL PROPOSED BY GOVERNOR; CONTACT YOUR LAWMAKERS  
TODAY AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT THE 25 BY 25 PLAN

In his Condition of the State address, Governor Chet Culver proposed  
that the state achieve 25% of its power needs from renewable
energy sources, such as wind and solar, by no later than 2025.  If  
passed into law, this would be a major step forward in clean
energy policy.

To quote the Governor directly: "...it’s also time for a new Renewable  
Energy Portfolio Standard. We must require 25% percent of all
energy produced in Iowa be from a renewable source by 2025."

Predictably, the utility companies are actively lobbying against this  
progressive proposal.

A telephone call and/or e-mail from you TODAY will help to move this  
proposal forward!

CONTACT YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND STATE SENATOR NOW AND TELL THEM:
*You support the Governor's 25 by 25 renewable energy proposal!
*You want them to vote for the 25 by 25 program!
