The recent UCS report Hogging It: Estimates of
Antimicrobial Abuse in Livestock warned that
70% of all antibiotics produced are fed to livestock
to promote growth.  As a result of the overuse of
antibiotics, the incidence of diseases resistant to
treatment by them is alarmingly on the rise. Have
