The latest news is the Hubble Construction has decided to buy the area
around Hallett's quarry even though their plans for a high density
residential/commercial area has been rejected by the Ames City Council.

The City of Ames will continue to have veto power over any construction in
the area, because Iowa law allows them that option for construction within
two miles of the city limits.

The saga continues...
