Central Iowa Sierra Group
Water Quality Monitoring Training
at the Nature Center in the Raccoon River Park.
On January 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Raccoon River Park
Nature Lodge in West Des Moines, we will explain our water quality
monitoring program and train volunteers.
We have had tremendous participation in the past and need new
volunteers. The training explains the equipment used for determining
temperature, pH, levels of dissolved oxygen, phosphate, ammonia,
nitrate, nitrite, and turbidity. The training is organized by Debbie
Neustadt. She is a Level II monitor in the IOWATER program. Call her at
265-2018 for directions.
The Nature Lodge is in the Raccoon River Park. The address of the park is
2500 Grand Ave.
