Subject: Club Wind White Paper Project
From: Ned Ford <[log in to unmask]>

To Sierra Club members concerned about wind energy
development:

The Global Warming/Energy Policy Committee
has decided to develop a guidance or white paper
on wind energy issues. Because of the obvious
interest and excellent expertise on the Energy and
Global Warming forums, we are going to approach
this experimentally as follows:

If you are interested in participating in the
development of this paper please send a private
e-mail to [log in to unmask] with "Join Wind List"
in the subject line. You will be included in a list for
the discussion.

Please forward this message to Club activists who are
interested in the subject. We are NOT going to restrict
this to Club member only, but since this is to be a product
of the Sierra Club, it will be approved in final form by the
GW/E members, and we hope non-member participants
will support the evolution of the Club's perspective, or
simply observe.

It will take a few weeks to get ready to initiate the online
dialogue. Please be patient, and we will try to keep you
informed.

GW/E members and Staff who are taking primary
responsibility for the development of this statement are
Ned Ford, Steve Crowley, Dick Fiddler, Rich Ferguson
and Debbie Boger.
