Subject: Climate Phone-A-Thon - Call Congress Today To Oppose Keystone
Export Pipeline
To: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]>

Iowa Climate Advocates:

Please call Congress today to oppose the Keystone Export pipeline.
Congress is expected to vote as early as tomorrow on a resolution to bypass
the established process for pipeline approval and require approval to the
pipeline.

This is wrong because it circumvents regulatory oversight and because the
Keystone Export pipeline would be bad for America. If built, the pipeline
would worsen climate change, threaten our waters, allow condemnation of
American farms and ranches by a foreign oil company, and bypass American
consumers for sale on the global market through Port Arthur, Texas.

Here are the numbers to call:

Congressman Bruce Braley, 202-225-2911

Congressman Steve King, 202-225-4426

Congressman Tom Latham, 202-225-5476 or 866-428-5642

Congressman Dave Loebsack, 202-225-6576 or 866-914-4692

You can also find their local phone numbers at www.iowaclimateadvocates.org.

Please call today! This is an opportunity to educate Congress about the
growing opposition to the pipeline – and the growing support for action to
fight climate change.

Rob Hogg, Cedar Rapids

P.S. Please mark your calendars now for the I-Renew 21st Anniversary
Renewable Energy Expo in Davenport June 14-15 and our continuing Climate
Phone-A-Thon June 24-25 in support of proposed carbon fee and dividend
legislation. 2013 is the year for climate action!
