Open meetings and open records in state government has been a  
significant concern of the Iowa Chapter for some time. Yesterday the  
Senate passed its ‘Sunshine’ bill, SF 2411. The bill now goes to the  
House where its future is highly uncertain...especially since  
adjournment of the 2008 Session is days away. The Des Moines Register  
today published a very good article about the bill, debate, and  
highlights. The link below will take you to that article and  
highlights...much quicker than I could analyze and write one.
