The Iowa Chapter will hold an Executive Committee Meeting this Sunday, June
3.

The meeting will be from 11-4 p.m. and will be held in the bed and breakfast
home of David Zahrt north of Turin.  Directions can be found below.

DIRECTIONS TO MEETING
GOING WEST ON HWY 175 (from Lake View)
On State Hwy 175W proceed west through Mapleton and
Castana. At the stop sign (one mile east of Turin) Hwy
175 is joined by 37. Turn right and continue on 175W
into Turin.
--At the intersection of Larpenteur Rd and 175--(only
crossroads in Turin--it's paved)--turn right (north)
Go one mile to Country Homestead B&B
(3rd house on the right (4th mailbox), big sign in the
front yard yard next to the road)

GOING WEST ON HWY 30
From Ames take US Hwy 30 W to Denison. At the west
edge of Denison 30 and 141 join.Ê Take 141 W (turn
right). At the top of the hill 141 make a sharp turn
to the left and goes west through the hills to Charter
Oak and Ute.  In Ute 183 meets 141. Turn left (SW) on
183 and go to Soldier. In Soldier 37 crosses 183.
Turn right (west) on 37 and go 11 mile to Turin. The
last mile into Turin is St Hwy 175. In Turin (pop 75)
watch for street signs. At the only concrete
crossroads turn right (north) on Larpenteur Memorial
Road. Go one mile. We're the 3rd house on the right
(4th mailbox), with a big sign out in front.

GOING WEST ON HWY 141 (from Perry)
Continue west on Hwy 141 to US Hwy 59. Turn right
(north) on 59 and go 1 mile to County Rd E 59. At E
59 turn left (west) and go to Dow City. When you join
US Hwy 30 turn left (s.west) and go to Dunlap. At the
outskirts of Dunlap you will find St Hwy 37. Turn
right (west) on 37 and go to Turin. The last mile
into Turin is St Hwy 175. In Turin (pop 75) watch for
street signs. At the only concrete crossroads turn
right (north) on Larpenteur Memorial Road (one story
brick building on the NW corner of the intersection).
Go one mile. We're the 3rd house on the right (4th
mailbox), with a big sign out in front.

GOING WEST ON I-80,
exit at Exit # 40 (Harlan/Avoca). Go north on US Hwy
59 through Harlan. Approximately 9 miles north of
Harlan St turn left (west) on St Hwy 37 (37 East dead
ends at 59 so there is only one way to turn on 37.
There are night lights at that intersection).

Continue west on St Hwy 37 through Earling, Dunlap,
and Soldier to Turin. One mile east of Turin St Hwy
37 ends and joins St Hwy 175, which goes on west into
Turin (one mile). In Turin (pop 75) turn right
(north) on Larpenteur Memorial Road (the only concrete
crossroads in Turin). There is a one-story brick
building on the NW corner of that intersection. Go
one mile north along the west edge of the Loess
Hills. Country Homestead is one mile north of Turin,
the third house on the right (4th mailbox). There is
a large sign in the front yard.
