Mostly, King is to be ignored. However, when he makes the NY Times, it's a terrible embarrassment. The Times thinks that the Midwest is Ohio, if you follow the headlines over the past years. Everything from Indiana to Nebraska and Minnesota to Missouri seems not to exist in the editors' (and New Yorkers'??) gray matter. Iowa should get better attention than this.

And a DNR comment to the Times regarding water quality was a bare two or three sentences taken from a web site, at any rate without context, making our DNR look silly in the face of a major Midwestern/national/planetary issue. Could have been the DNR's poor choice, or else laziness on the part of the times.

Anyhow, we don't look so good in the Big Apple, if we "look" at all.

Donna, his most outrageous statements make the NY Times. In IA, many were reprinted in a cover story in DSM cityview two weeks ago. He's not hiding these things, he's promoting them.

Yes, of course we've tried to reach out to folks in my district, Andrew. And now it's time to show Steve King for the ignorant bigot that he really is.
