Gerry Rowland, a canoe enthusiast and advocate of rowing on Iowa rivers,
will discuss the Des Moines River Water Trail, which he has been
instrumental in establishing. The Des Moines River flows through Iowa
for more than 400 miles and drains nearly a fourth of the state, providing
outstanding environmental, conservation, economic and recreational
