In order to help citizens and forest activists see how their elected
officials voted on key forest issues, and to hold them accountable, American
Lands Alliance produces a Forest Scorecard for each Congress. The Scorecard
records how House Representatives and Senators voted on key forest
protection issues, and assigns them an overall rating for that Congress
based on their voting record.
With a striking 17 forest votes already recorded for the first session of
the 108th Congress, American Lands Alliance is releasing Scorecards for both
the House and Senate to capture forest voting activity thus far. Should
subsequent forest votes arise in the second session, we will issue an
updated Scorecard at the end of the 108th Congress that incorporates them.
