The Eat Well Guide is an online tool to help consumers find sources of meat
raised with no or minimal antibiotics. It started off in May 2001 as a simple
document, and was re-launched in August 2002 as an interactive website
complete with a search engine that points the consumer to nearby places to
buy meat - be it a retailer, restaurant or producer.
During the final months of 2002, more than 250 new entries were added to the
Guide, mainly from the East Coast. Currently there are 171 producers, 341
restaurants and 659 retailers listed on the site from all over the country.
In the future, we hope to make the Guide better known to consumers and to
continue to increase our listings. If you know of producers, retailers or
restaurants that should be listed, please contact [log in to unmask] .
