CLEAN LAKES MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY WILL BE POSTPONED

 

DES MOINES - Two public meetings scheduled for Independence and Washington on Thursday (Jan. 21, 2009) will be postponed due to the weather. The meetings will be rescheduled at a later date.

 

Both meetings were to comment on proposed goals for how clear Iowa lakes should be for swimming.

 

The meeting in Independence had been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Falcon Center, 1305 Fifth Ave. N.E. The Washington meeting had been scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Public Library, 115 W. Washington St.
