Yes I'd like to know about the call day and thanks. This is a start.
Phyllis
Anybody interested in getting involved?

Sierra Club is working with Food and Water Watch, ICCI, several others,
on the next farm bill and other food/livestock related issues. There
will be a call-in day soon to help convince Senator Harkin to sponsor a
livestock competition bill. And another soon after to Obama.

Without competitive markets for their livestock, farmers have no place to
sell their free-range meat. Presently, my farm tenant here in NW Iowa
has to sell his outdoor pigs in Illinois because he has no market outlet
in Iowa.

We were reprimanded a few weeks ago for complaining without acting --
maybe sometimes we need and deserve that -- please get involved. I will
circulate more info as call-in days get closer.....

Donna
