As a person who rides a motorcycle, I am grateful for the mowing/baling
of grass off the right a way of our roads for it helps me to see the deer.
Two weeks ago a deer jumped out of an unmowed ditch, which hid the deer
completely, and hit me on my cycle - I survived.
Lots of things to think about not to mention the drifting of snow on the
road in the winter.
Since we have extremely wide interstate ditches it would seem possible
that a strip on the outer edge could be used for prairie grasses, of
course, that invites grazing by deer.
