I agree with Laurel Hopwood, of Sierra Club's national Genetic Engineering
Action Team, and have made a contribution to CFS. Hope you can too!--Tom

Center for Food Safety (CFS) is an organizational ally which has
worked feverishly to stop the Monsanto rider.
CFS's legal and grassroots successes have been critical in halting
GE alfalfa, GE tomatoes, GE potatoes, GE wheat, GE rice, GE sugar
beets, and biopharmaceutical crops.
The industry is now trying to change the rules by minimizing the
authority of courts, making it more difficult to stop the planting of
GE crops even if a court finds them to have been approved illegally.
As a result, the rider directly violates the separation of powers
between the legislative and judicial branches.
This battle isn't over. CFS is gearing up big time for the next round.
