Subject: Watersheds 103: Training for TMDL Practitioners

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a course entitled,
"Watersheds 103: Training for TMDL Practitioners" on June 12, 2001. The
training will be conducted from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM and will be held in
the auditorium of the Wallace Building at 900 E. Grand Ave. in Des Moines.
This is the second time DNR is offering the course. The first session was
held in July of 2000.
This course reviews the programmatic and technical components for developing
total maximum daily loads (TMDLs). This training provides critical
information on how the technical basis for a TMDL can be developed. The
information will be presented through lectures and relevant case study
examples.
The session is open to DNR staff and members of the public. There is no
charge for the training, but registration is required. Please contact Vera
