Subject: [IOWA-NATIVE-PLANTS] Eddyville Dunes
For anyone interested in visiting the Eddyville Dunes, the Pale Green
Orchids and Prickly Pear Cactus were blooming last Saturday. Glenda
Buenger and Pat McAdams graciously led a field trip, on a beautiful
day... There were a lot of other neat plants of course....
There was a whole hillside of Prickly Pear in bloom, and one solid mass
of plants boasted 48 blooms (all open!).
The Prickly Pear are probably "past" now, but I imagine there will still
be some orchids in bloom, for perhaps the rest of the week...
