For those interested in Lake Delhi issues, there will be a new documentary
shown on IPTV on Monday 8/5 at 8 pm called "WE WILL BE BACK: THE LAKE
DELHI STORY."
Having read the description of the documentary and having watched a
trailer for it online, I have the impression that this documentary will not
include issues and questions such as the relative values of a natural river
versus an artificial lake, the massive farmland erosion in the Lake Delhi
watershed, the hundreds of substandard old polluting septic systems in the
community around the lake, the question of using state funding to rebuild a
private dam, and the special new state law that will put Iowa taxpayers on the
hook for massive amounts of money if the new Lake Delhi dam ever fails.
I hope I'm wrong.
