WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16: 7 P.M.
Tall Grass Grocery Coop
Linda Gobberdiel will present a program on the new locally owned grocery
coop-the Tall Grass Grocery, which is located in Valley Junction. Locally
owned means the money stays here, plus a shorter product supply chain means
less use of fossil fuel to get food here. Linda is president of the Iowa
Food Systems Council Board of Directors. Check out tallgrassgrocery.com on
the web. Central Iowa Sierra public programs are held at Northwest Community
Center, 51st Street and Franklin Avenue in Des Moines. Contact Jane at
223-5047 or [log in to unmask] for more information about the program.
