Let's hope that we get to vote on the Charter amendments this November 6.
Part of the reason for the Charter amendments is to keep the police in line.
I can think of no more important reason than to support the amendments than
in these times of crises, with the Bush administration getting $20 billion
dollars from Congress for intelligence, security, AND law enforcement.
That's only 1/3 of all the money that is going into this war to date. The
law enforcement money must be because they know there will be a huge
resistance to this war.
