Grassley`s score on environmental voting should come as no surprise to
anyone. I have followed Senator Grassley`s voting record on the environment
for twenty years and his scores from the League of Conservation Voters since
the early 90s. I have corresponded with him for two decades on environmental
issues. His responses to questions about his poor League of Conservation
Voters scores is always the same:
He has a good environmental voting record (making reference to a few
uncontroversial issues usually involving some funding for agricultural
conservation) and that the League did not ask the right questions.
