Dear friends,

Below is my final letter of this campaign season. (My apologies if this is a
duplicate or if you would rather not receive this message.) If you agree,
please forward this far and wide. Feel free to cut and paste from it at will.

By the way, Tom Clark on Wisconsin Public Radio had an hour long
presidential preference survey yesterday morning. Nader - 53 votes, Gore -
51, Bush - 24, Browne - 5, and Buchanan - 1!

Cheers!

Jim

To the editor,

The claim has been made that Nader is taking votes away from Gore. That is
wrong. These votes are not Gore's. The votes are ours! We choose to cast our
votes for the candidate who is honest and best represents our views. That
candidate is Ralph Nader. If Al Gore deserved our support, there would be no
need to support Nader.

Nader has the momentum in this election. The signs are everywhere. Based on
what happened in the '98 gubernatorial race, it is conceivable that Nader
will carry Minnesota. He may also carry Wisconsin, Oregon, Alaska, Vermont,
and Maine. That would send a huge message to the rest of the nation! A win
for Nader is a win for Nader! For the states Nader wins, he gets the
electoral votes, not Bush or Gore.

Nader will have more significant coattails than Gore. He is attracting
millions of new voters and disenfranchised non-voters. Nader voters will
help elect progressive candidates to lower offices throughout the country.

The Nader/LaDuke ticket is attracting Republicans, Democrats, Reformers, and
Independents. Voters who are disgusted by blatant corporate control of Gore
and Bush are turned on by Nader's straight talk and the integrity of his
campaign. True conservatives who believe in real democracy find Nader very
appealing. They know Nader has "walked his walk" for 40 years. They know
Ralph's for real.

Only Ralph Nader has Winona LaDuke as a running mate. Both Gore and Bush
chose running mates who are more white male, more conservative, and more
militaristic than they are. Winona LaDuke is a true leader for justice and
equality. She has worked all of her adult life to heal the earth and improve
the lives of women, children, and native people. She deserves support.

Bush will not overturn Roe v Wade. It was not overturned during 12
consecutive years of Reagan and Bush. It will not be overturned by Son of
Bush. During the first debate, Bush said that he supported the FDA decision
to allow the abortion pill, RU-486. Bush uses anti-abortion voters to his
advantage, but he has not outlawed abortion in Texas. He's not that stupid.
He is actually a shrewd politician with savvy advisors.

Don't waste your vote. A vote cast out of fear is a wasted vote. A vote cast
out of conviction is never a waste. There is no better time than now to do
the right thing. You have a real choice this time!

A vote for Nader is a vote for the Green Party. It is a vote for the future.
It is a vote for honesty, democracy, and genuine campaign finance reform. A
vote for Nader will help the Green Party qualify for federal matching funds.
It will help ensure that there will be a watchdog party to hold the two
corporate parties accountable. Check out the websites www.votenader.org and
www.winonagreens.org.

The future is now! Don't wake up the morning after the election and say,
"Darn, I wish I would have voted for Nader." You have a chance to be a part
of something big. This train is rolling! Get on board!

Respectfully,

Jim Riddle
