Camp Cooking Basics--Saturday June 25
Join in cooking simple campstove outdoor dishes with the Sierra Club of
Central Iowa. If you've never used a campstove before, here's your chance.
If you do have the know how to use a campstove, come share your skills with
others. Join us at Witmer Park's shelter (Beaverdale, 2 blocks north of
Forest on 34 St) on Saturday, June 25 at 5 pm. (Non-Sierra Club members are
asked to make a $2 donation.) Call Phyllis at 274-4319, for details.

AND,
Sunday, June 26
Enjoy breathtaking sweeps of prairie blooms while touring the Dallas County
Conservation Board's prairie plant nursery, where seed is cultivated for
habitat restoration. Conservation Board staff will be on hand to talk with
us about these projects. Afterward we will have a chance to see the
trumpeter swans that have been introduced in the area. The site is a couple
of miles north of Adel, just off Hwy. 169-but contact Ray and Margaret at
465-5504 or [log in to unmask] for more information and more specific
directions.
