Subject: Will Iowa Forfeit Passenger Rail?
Some members of the state House of Representatives are pushing to let Iowa
forfeit over $81 million in federal infrastructure development in our state by
taking back $10 million already set aside for the Iowa City and Quad Cities to
Chicago passenger rail line along I-80.
These representatives fail to recognize that our state’s relatively small
contribution will pay dividends to Iowa residents far beyond the millions in
infrastructure investment.
Please, take a moment to let your representatives know you support this project
– and that you hope they do too!
It’s important that House members receive both calls and emails, so if you’re
able to do so, please take a moment to call their offices at (515) 281-3221.
You can also use our easy tool to send them an email message by clicking here.
