LEARN ABOUT WOMEN'S HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT AT WFAN ANNUAL MEETING MARCH 31 IN WEST DES MOINES

WEST DES MOINES--Women, Food and Agriculture Network will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, March 31 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the West Des Moines Public Library, 4000 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines.

Speakers will include Angi Tagtow, environmental nutrition consultant, and Sue Roberts, nutritionist and attorney, who will talk on women's health and the environment. "There are many issues that concern the women of Iowa, especially around food and the environment," says Denise O'Brien, executive director of WFAN. "Our expert presenters offer women the opportunity to hear about what is happening on the state and national levels."

Women, Food and Agriculture Network, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, works to link and empower women to build food systems and communities that are healthy, just, sustainable, and that promote environmental integrity.

WFAN recently published a report on Women's Voices in the Farm Bill that can be accessed at www.wfan.org<http://www.wfan.org/>.
