The first version that I posted of this had a lot of  extraneous text at the 
top. My fault. Technology's too. Will empires armed with  high technology be 
all-conquering? Probably not. Do our troops in Iraq just  need better satellite 
imagery and better computers to emerge victorious?  Probably not.
