By the way, Bob Jackson lives in southern Iowa during the winter months and
raises bison south of the Chariton River. He has the additional background
note of interest of having discovered state record trees in his area. I
have talked with him several times, but didn't realize he was known as
"Action" Jackson!

December 4, 2001--GROWING GRIZZLY HABITUATION THREATENS
PUBLIC SAFETY & SPECIES RECOVERY:
Garbage Bear Syndrome to Return, Yellowstone Ranger Charges
Long-time Yellowstone National Park ranger Bob "Action" Jackson charged
today that grizzly dependence on tons of elk meat left by hunters
surrounding the park has made the bears dangerously dependent on humans for
a major food source, to the detriment of both the animals and humans. Denied
a place on the agenda of the inter-agency Yellowstone Ecosystem Subcommittee
meeting in Jackson, Wyoming, "Action" Jackson released his testimony through
PEER. http://www.peer.org/press/195.html
