Title:  Central Iowa Area's GPS Training
Date/Time:  11/11/2002  9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Description:  Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and applications
are rapidly advancing. Navigation, Agriculture, Surveying, Fishing, Hunting,
Cycling, and more are becoming integrated with GPS. These new and exciting
GPS kits allow users to gain an understanding of how GPS works and to gain
experience with many of the applications of this technology. The kits are an
easy exciting way to hook people into learning science and linking it to
their own lives.

ISU Extension has developed a GPS training workshop, and is making kits
available to check out for those who attend the training.  Several
trainings are coming up yet this year.  Check out the following website for
information on the next training, Monday, November 11 in the Story County
Extension Office, Nevada, IA.
