Forwarded from Iowa Rivers Revival's News:

Happy Anniversary: The Clean Water Act! (Oct. 18, 1972)

It was forty years ago today. . . . . Since 1972, the Clean Water Act has
had a huge impact on improving our rivers and waters. Nationally, it has
kept billions of pounds of raw sewage, chemicals and trash out of our
waterways.

Forwarded from Iowa CCI: Forty years ago today, both Houses of Congress
voted by a nearly 10-1 margin to override President Nixon's veto of the
Clean Water Act

into law.
